WHY BROADBENTS COUNTRY HAM IS OUR CHOICE Broadbent's Whole Country Hams or Sliced Thick Cut Center Steaks, Breakfast Steaks, Dinner Steaks, or Biscuit Slices are dry-cured the traditional way. Since 1909, each ham has been hand-rubbed with a unique cure, aged longer than most, and then meticulously hickory-smoked to perfection. These hams undergo a rigorous inspection process to ensure the rich, nutty aroma of a premium country ham. This is the same process that has earned Broadbent 18 Grand Champion Awards at the Kentucky State Fair. At the annual Kentucky Farm Bureau's ham breakfast charity event, the Grand Champion winning ham is auctioned off, with the proceeds going to charity. In fact, several years ago, our ham sold for a record-breaking $2,000,000, a figure that has yet to be surpassed.

We at Julia's Pantry are eager to share this exceptional ham with you, drawing from a heritage of recipes spanning three generations. We carefully select our key ingredients from families with a proven track record of quality products:

• Soft wheat flour from a multi-generation family-owned mill near our home in North Carolina
• Real Churned Butter from a family-owned dairy operation in Kentucky
• Sweet Cream Buttermilk from a family-owned dairy in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
• Corn meal and grits from a family-owned mill near our home in North Carolina, which has been in operation for over 150 years
• Whenever possible, other ingredients are sourced from within the United States of America

Grandma Broadbent started selling her Hickory Smoked Sausage to her neighbors in Trigg County, Kentucky, nearly a century ago. We still use her "Secret Recipe" to produce our old-fashioned tasting sausage, which is Nitrite Free and comes packaged in traditional cloth bags.
